Education
In order to become a nurse practitioner in the province of Saskatchewan, registered nurses must be a member in good standing of the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) and have practiced 4500 hours as a registered nurse. The registered nurse must satisfactorily complete a nurse practitioner category registered nursing program approved or recognized by the council of the SRNA and complete the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Examination.
